The Los Angeles city counsel has announced the 222 Pledge in conjunction with the United Way Greater Los Angeles. The initiative aims to create approximately 3,300 supportive housing units in an effort to provide affordable housing and support services to the homeless. The 222 Pledge follows the approval of Proposition HHH in 2016 which provides $1.2 billion in bonds to construct affordable housing for the homeless.
