After the 1967 riots, one part of New jersey was left a barren waist land. But, now it is a place of hope because there will be new creations put there. There will be life brought to a building that has been neglected since the 80’s. The area will undergo a lot of changes, with the intent to improve the life around there.
- The old hahne and co department debuted 174 million dollars as a start of redevelopment for 160 apartments
- Approximately 2,000 residential buildings were approved for rehabilitation in the past year and 1.7 billion dollars has been invested into residential and industrial business projects
- There’s an issue with there being a substantial amount of abandoned buildings as well which is something that is also being worked on
